IOWA LAW ENFORECMENT ACADEMY MEETING LOGISTICS:
 
  • LOCATION: Camp Dodge, 7105 NW 70th Ave, Johnston
  • Allow a little extra time getting to the meeting this week – due to check-in at the gate and driving thru Camp Dodge to the ILEA.
  • Once inside the entry gate, it will take approx. 5-8 minutes to get back to the ILEA buildings.
  • You MUST enter at the south entrance off of NW 70th Ave – it is the only public access point.
  • Guards will request a valid photo ID at the front gate. Guards may view or scan the ID prior to granting entry onto the installation. 
  • A map from the front gate to the ILEA bldg is attached. 
  • Inside the gate, look for the Iowa Gold Star Military Museum, and the ILEA is two blocks directly north of the museum. 
 
Hy-vee will be catering a hot breakfast:  breakfast sandwiches, hash brown casserole, fruit, and drinks.

Rotary DMAM Foundation seeking Nonprofit Proposals for BingoBASH 2027 – DUE AUGUST 7, 2027
The DMAM Foundation’s BingoBASH Committee is seeking proposals from local nonprofits to benefit from the February 27, 2027 event. If you support a local nonprofit doing work in the greater Des Moines area who you think would be worthy of being considered, please share the attached RFP with your network. We will be awarding up to $15,000 or more (per NP) to three nonprofits in 2027 in our three areas of focus:  food insecurity, human trafficking prevention, and mental health. Any nonprofit who recently submitted a proposal to DMAM this spring 2026 for the Community Service grant does not need to resubmit; we will use their proposal.
Proposals will be due to Chris Korte (email in RFP) no later than Friday, August 7, 2027.

  • DMAM Rotarians are welcome to submit corporate and community event information for distribution to members as part of the Monday Memo.
  • Keep announcements brief!
The submission deadline is the close of business each Friday and must contain only text (no pictures or graphics).
Make Monday Memo submissions to Club Administrator:
Please include Monday Memo submission in the subject line of the email. Information submitted by noon on Thursday will be published in the following Monday Memo.
